Come enjoy an evening of food, fun and laughter at the Annual Rockwall Preschool Association Gala and Silent Auction on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the all new Allure Restaurant at Chandler’s Landing! The theme of this year’s gala is “Laughs on the Lake” as we present the comedy stylings of comedienne Deanna Tipton, who will perform her hilarious Shopping Diva sketch comedy act while guests dine on a delicious 4-course dinner in Rockwall’s newest hotspot. And of course it’s all for a good cause, as the Gala benefits many of Rockwall’s most important children’s charities including Rockwall County Library, Rockwall YMCA, The Rainbow Room of Rockwall County, The Boys & Girls Club of Rockwall, Helping Hands of Rockwall County, Lone Star CASA, Shoes For Kids, Rockwall ISD Education Foundation, and Pregnancy Resource Center.
Deanna started out as a singer, actress and model, and then became an advertising copywriter. Her career path led her into television as a writer/producer for an ABC affiliate for seven years, and then writing advertising for several national retailers, but comedy was always her first LOVE.
She’s appeared on numerous stages throughout the country, has been the spokesperson in both radio and TV commercials and even made an appearance on the TV show “Last Comic Standing.”
You’ll laugh from the very moment Deanna steps on the stage. She takes her life experiences as a married woman, who loves to shop with her crazy friends, and transforms it into a hilarious comedy routine that leaves you wanting more. Along with Deanna you’ll enjoy the antics of her personal assistant who only knows one word, “Housekeeping,” plus a surprise visit from a forgotten relative.
And, the excitement doesn’t stop there! Guests will have the opportunity to bid in a silent auction for awesome items including some amazing vacations packages, pose for wacky photos in a giant photo booth and partake in many unique themed raffle packages. Raffle tickets will be available the evening of the fundraiser for $20 each or a package of (5) five for $75.
The evening kicks off at 6:00 pm with a cash bar on Allure’s expansive patio overlooking Lake Ray Hubbard, followed by a lake view 4-course sunset dinner at 7:00 pm in their newly renovated banquet room and The Shopping Diva at 8:30 p.m.
Tickets are $150 per couple or you can reserve an entire table for eight with preferred seating for only $600. And if you purchase your tickets before April 1st you’ll automatically be entered into a special raffle drawing.
